I began making these pieces with the intention of creating non-functional objects. Some are serene, comforting while others are humorous. In either case, the found materials are ironic since many of the shards were actually former tea pots or cups, and the bases actual tea or coffee pots, some broken others intact. I enjoy resurrecting the spirit and memory of tea and coffee drinking.
